Privacy Policy
What this policy covers
This policy describes the Water Sort puzzle at watersort.io. It applies to the game and the pages on this site. It does not describe any other website.
The game does not ask you to create an account, and it does not ask for your name, email address, or payment details. Progress is kept in your own browser.
Information stored on your device
The game uses the browser’s local storage so a refresh does not wipe the puzzle. That storage stays on your device. It is not sent to watersort.io as a player profile. The saved record can include:
- The highest level you have unlocked
- The current level, tube layout, move count, and undo history
- Whether you have used the extra tube on that level
- Whether sound is muted
- Whether you have already closed the how-to-play note
Sound is generated in the browser while you play. Those tones are not recorded or uploaded.
What this site does not do
- It does not sell or rent personal information.
- It does not run its own analytics, advertising, or cross-site tracking.
- It does not embed third-party games, comment systems, or ad networks.
- It does not build an account or a profile of how you play.
Font request
Pages load the Be Vietnam Pro typeface from Google Fonts. Your browser contacts Google’s font service to download those files. That request can include your IP address and ordinary browser details, and Google handles it under its own privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy.
Hosting
The site is a set of files delivered over HTTPS. The service that hosts those files may keep short technical logs, such as the time of a request, the address of the page, and the IP address of the connection, so it can serve the site and respond to abuse. watersort.io does not use those logs to identify players or to study individual games. The host’s own policy governs how long it keeps connection logs.
Cookies
The game does not set its own cookies. Local storage is separate from cookies. If you block storage, the puzzle still runs, but the level, mute setting, and how-to-play note will not be remembered after you leave the page.
How to delete saved progress
Because the saved game is in your browser, you can remove it yourself. In your browser settings, clear site data or local storage for watersort.io. That deletes the level progress and the mute preference stored by this game. There is no separate copy of that progress on a watersort.io account server to delete.
Children
The puzzle is meant for a general audience. It does not ask for a child’s name or contact details. If a parent or guardian wants the saved game removed from a device, clearing site data for watersort.io in that browser removes it.
Changes
If the game starts collecting something new, this page will be updated and the date at the top will change. The version you are reading describes the site as it works on that date.
